About the role

We're seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our start-up team at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. You'll be responsible for overseeing a dedicated hourly team, fostering a culture of trust, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a champion of workplace safety, enforcing regulations and promoting a culture of vigilance
  • Lead and direct a team to consistently produce high-quality products and meet production targets
  • Prioritize critical tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and address safety and quality issues promptly
  • Create a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating your team to achieve shared goals
  • Utilize data to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, drive process improvements, and ensure exceptional product quality
  • Resolve conflicts fairly and effectively, and build strong working relationships with all partners
  • Ensure accountability and adherence to safety, quality, and throughput processes
  • Manage daily material handling functions, ensuring proper material flow and reacting to Andon occurrences
  • Monitor and confirm the smooth operation of the production line

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3–7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience
  • Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends
  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology and/or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
  • Experience using AGVs, AMRs, and other automation machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, constraint management principles, logistics planning, and management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
  • Familiarity with ERP system background logic (SAP, MES, LES, etc.)
  • Experience in Automotive MP&L (Material Planning & Logistics) is preferable
  • Strong analytical, logical thinking, and systematic problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of line balancing, time study, material flow, and capacity planning
  • Adaptability and proactive work ethic
  • Resilience and flexibility
  • Leadership potential, including the ability to assign work to a unionized hourly workforce and hold employees accountable

Pay

Salary grade 7, ranging from $84,480-$141,360.

Schedule

Rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends.
