Job Description
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Supervise daily production operations to ensure staffing, schedules, productivity, and quality goals are achieved efficiently.
- Cook up with Maintenance, Engineering, and Automation teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and support production improvements.
- Monitor automated manufacturing processes, production metrics, downtime, and operational performance to drive efficiency.
- Lead employee relations activities including training, coaching, conflict resolution, discipline administration, and workforce communication.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and emergency protocols.
- Maintain accurate production, attendance, overtime, scrap, and performance records while supporting scheduling and HR processes.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, continuous improvement initiatives, and comply with company procedures and IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 standards.
- Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of production and/or plant supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and employee relations skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive employment relations and a high level of integrity.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and PC skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing systems, robotics, or advanced production technology preferred.
- Union Experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies preferred.
- Experience supporting plant launches or expansions
