Mission Description
Northwest Aerospace Technologies (NAT), a Safran Company, is the only EASA DOA Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. Focusing on commercial and military aircrafts, NAT provides first-class services in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing for a variety of Blue Chip customers.
Responsibilities
Partners with the production manager to lead, teach, coach and mentor operations personnel. This role leads 2 - 10 employees in the production process.
Supports the following:
Develops short and long-term goals and objectives for the production department and provides suggestions and recommendations.
Ensures that policies are updated and in accordance with evolving production and quality standards.
Builds, fabricates, and repairs parts, including first article and initial production runs of high-complexity parts.
Oversees production and assembly processes, inspects products, and resolves issues quickly and effectively.
Maintains production quality and monitors work flow to ensure maximum production capacity and adherence to deadlines.
Trains, advises, and coaches employees on current production methods and provides suggestions to improve performance and productivity.
Provides input on personnel decisions, performance appraisals, and supports feedback into Make/Buy decisions.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience (+2 years)
Knowledge: Strong understanding of production procedures, standards, and knowledge of Quality Control Standards and systems.
Experience: 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing environment, plus minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills: Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and ERP system.
Other Skills: Well organized, planning and time management skills, quality oriented, problem-solving ability, leadership, meeting conduct, delegation, and training/coaching/mentoring employees.
Additional Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree, 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 3 or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
