About the role

Join our first-class team to reinvent the in-flight experience. As Manager, Production, you will oversee the manufacturing operation, manage employees, plan and adjust production schedules, promote safety, and support company goals, rules, and standards. This role contributes to our vision by developing and implementing effective production planning, policies, and procedures while fostering lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production department planning, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist senior management in setting short- and long-term goals and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in developing department policies and ensure alignment with company-wide strategic objectives.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing policies to ensure they meet evolving production and quality standards.
  • Oversee production and assembly processes, including supervision of assembly, inspection, and shipment of products.
  • Monitor and supervise production quality, identify problems, and resolve them efficiently.
  • Regulate workflow to maximize production capacity and ensure products are completed on schedule.
  • Ensure production functions comply with established safety and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership through goal setting, delegation, and effective communication.
  • Direct and assign personnel, offering support and training as needed.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist with personnel decisions, including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with purchasing, engineering, and other departments.
  • Keep management informed of activities and significant issues.
  • Perform production duties as needed and complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (+4 years without a degree).
  • 8+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production procedures, standards, and quality control systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with an ERP system.

Skills

  • Well-organized with strong planning and time management skills.
  • Quality-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead teams, conduct meetings, delegate tasks, and mentor employees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
