Production Supervisor Day Shift 7am to 7:30pm

Responsibilities

• Directs job assignments and provides leadership to the production staff.
• Manages production resources for a high-volume manufacturing operation.
• Maintain high levels of order fulfillment with good quality and operating in safe conditions.
• Inspire, train, and develop the team to achieve optimum safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.
• Work a 12hr shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.
• Utilize prior experience leading injection molding team, as well as working knowledge of processing plastics.
• Troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output.
• Respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment.
• Knowledge of production KPIs and communicate the KPIs to production staff.
• Evaluate and provide timely feedback on employee performance; motivate and develop a cohesive production team; maintain production and attendance records.
• Make timely decisions to maintain production output and quickly analyze situations and provide direction to production staff.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, reduce costs, and provide a safe work environment.
• Monitor processes to ensure productivity and quality standards are being achieved.
• Analyze and resolve processing issues.
• Understand escalation process for when issues move from maintenance to engineering.
• Understand schedules and priorities.
• Interact well with all levels of the organization.
• Safety: Report incident reports, understand how to perform root cause investigation and corrective actions, waste management, and monitor what is happening on the floor.
• Effectively communicate with Process / Maintenance when an issue needs to be addressed, so it does not become a safety issue, or give direction due to production demand.

Requirements

• Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience, Plastic Injection knowledge is a MUST.
• Hybrid Candidate – Willing to roll up sleeves and be on the floor as well as office management.
