Production Supervisor-Day Shift
About the role
Sanimax is looking to hire a First Shift Production Supervisor in our South St. Paul location. This position will be a swing shift position where they will need to cover for the second and third shift as needed for PTO and other related absences that occur.

Position Purpose
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing production operations by empowering and motivating employees to function as a team in the areas of receiving, unloading and processing of raw materials to accomplish the company’s objectives.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
- Ensure that safety initiatives and programs as directed by the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator are being carried out
- Maintain a highly trained and motivated work force
- Complete individual performance evaluations
- Ensure that all equipment including the boilers, air scrubbers and other process equipment is operated in an efficient manner
- Generate an annual operations budget for all production labor
- Ensure that the fleet, processing facilities, and building and grounds are maintained in a manner which meets all company and government safety and environmental requirements
- In coordination with the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections get completed as required

Minimum Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent is required
- Preferred Technical or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
- Previous experience in managing and supervising a production team in a manufacturing and continuous process environment
