Production Supervisor
About the role
The Production Supervisor at Saputo is responsible for overseeing production employees to enhance productivity during assigned shifts and areas. This involves planning, assigning, directing, and resolving issues related to production, employee safety, and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assigns, directs, reviews, and monitors work of supervised staff to optimize plant productivity.
- Ensures adherence to production procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Inspects products for conformance to specifications and makes necessary adjustments to machinery.
- Collaborates with plant management and supervisory staff to develop and implement production schedules and worker hour requirements.
- Evaluates and adjusts production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Analyzes work problems using CI methods and recommends preventive measures.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Operations Management or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of supervisory experience in a food packaging environment preferred.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
