Main Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure targets for safety, quality, and efficiency are consistently met
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of production operators, fostering a positive and accountable work environment
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation
- Support inventory control and material flow to prevent shortages or overstock situations
- Drive cost reduction efforts while maintaining operational excellence
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred
- 3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a production setting
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, and equipment operations
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma principles is an asset
- Experience working with production KPIs (OEE, throughput, scrap reduction, downtime tracking)
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coach, motivate, and manage diverse teams
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA or equivalent local standards)
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, technical documents, and SOPs
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or MES systems is an asset
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or extended hours as required
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Ability to respond quickly to production issues and operational emergencies
