About the role
Growing company in the Greater Philadelphia area is looking to hire a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role is responsible for overseeing production personnel, optimizing processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in food manufacturing and is committed to driving operational excellence while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily production operations to ensure schedules, quality standards, and productivity goals are consistently met.
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees, promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate production schedules with planning, warehouse, maintenance, and quality teams to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, GMPs, and food safety standards.
- Maintain high product quality by partnering with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements.
- Identify equipment, staffing, and workflow needs to support production objectives.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Foster a culture focused on safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4+ years of production manufacturing experience
- Food manufacturing, food distribution, or other food industry experience is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
- Forklift Certification required or the ability to obtain certification
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
