Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor oversees, supervises, trains, develops, and supports production and material handling employees. They also provide oversight, guidance, support, and indirect supervision for shift maintenance support staff. Duties include ensuring safety, managing adjusters, reporting production data, troubleshooting, and coordinating labor.

• Ensures shift employees follow safe work practices and procedures, including PPE and GMPs
• Audits for compliance and addresses safety issues promptly
• Holds shift start-up meetings to communicate goals and engage employees
• Manages Adjuster Supervisors for adequate support and training
• Works safely, participates in safety improvement efforts, conducts training, and evaluates performance
• Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment, and material issues
• Trains employees in proper procedures, coaches them to improve results, and promotes career opportunities
• Suggests improvements in safety, production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and waste reduction
• Maintains employee time clock information and coordinates labor needs with HR
• Communicates with subordinates, peers, and superiors, acts as a change agent, and administers disciplinary actions
• Performs activities of employees supervised, as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
• Minimum of 5 years of successful production supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bilingual in Spanish-English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Resourceful problem solver with proven ability to resolve challenges quickly
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and stand for long periods
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 25 lbs

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,000 - $85,000 + bonus + benefits. Specific benefits and well-being programs may vary depending on location.
