About the role
You will lead a production area to meet customer and operational goals by coaching teams, stabilizing processes, and driving continuous improvement. You will work onsite on a swing schedule (2:30pm–1:00am, 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday) and partner with production staff, engineering, HR, and customers to deliver reliable output and quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct day-to-day work activity of team members in the assigned area.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members; create and execute individual development plans and conduct performance appraisals.
- Lead root cause analysis, PDCA, and Lean/Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve cycle time and part flow.
- Develop and deploy standardized work instructions and ensure process stability through adherence to standards.
- Coordinate new product launches with engineering and troubleshoot scheduling and material issues.
- Enforce quality standards, coordinate corrective actions, and contain sources of quality issues.
- Promote and enforce safety policies; conduct safety investigations and audits.
- Partner with HR to support equitable experiences and a culture of inclusivity and belonging.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial/Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Materials/Process Engineering.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose alternative solutions beyond historical practice.
- Knowledge of multiple leadership approaches and ability to apply appropriate methods to build individual and team success.
- Proficient computer skills and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Solid understanding and practical experience with Kaizen and Lean principles.
- Ability to assess departmental health using data and direct observation and implement systemic improvement plans.

- Competitive compensation range of $87,050 to $145,250 annually.
