Production Supervisor
About the role
Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to challenging conventions and innovating next-generation technologies. This position is part of the Operations team and involves supervising production employees and ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Owns four main metrics: safety, quality, delivery, and productivity/people
- Spend 75% of time on the floor in direct supervision, 25% on administrative and project tasks
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels
- Use tools like MS Office applications, Shop Floor Manager, OBMS
- Oversee a line or area within a department, including staffing and interviewing for open roles
- Ensure safety compliance and conduct incident investigations
- Drive continuous improvement through tools like Andon, Spaghetti Diagrams, Line Balancing, 5S, DMIAC, Root Cause Analysis
- Resolve conflict and investigate personnel issues
- Manage timekeeping, absenteeism, and sign off on timecards
- Manage production schedule and communicate changes to internal customers
- Partner with peers to resolve production and quality issues
- Develop team members for succession and talent planning
- Manage cost, expense, and inventory control
Requirements
- Associate degree required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong employee relations management experience
- Ability to coach, direct, and develop employees
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work closely with operators
Qualifications
- Knowledge in UKG/Kronos
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma Experience
Skills
Essential skills include leadership, communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are also crucial.

Pay
The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
Schedule
