Production Supervisor

About the role

The Supervisor oversees daily remanufacturing operations in a radiator shop, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production floor activities, managing schedules and work standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including quality, maintenance, safety, and engineering for seamless operations.
• Supervise radiator disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and testing, applying mechanical repair techniques.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct audits, and promote a safety-first culture.
• Coach team members, manage KPIs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and operate hand and power tools safely.
• Handle administrative tasks, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure compliance with work instructions and SOPs.
• Operate equipment such as overhead cranes and hydraulic presses safely, and oversee proper tool and equipment use.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and lead problem-solving activities using root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in manufacturing, remanufacturing, or assembly within heavy industry or rail sectors.
• Mechanical or engineering background with hands-on radiator repair skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to interpret KPIs and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production software; ability to learn new tools.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and work in manufacturing environments with PPE.
