About the role
The Production Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations within the mill manufacturing plant. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, meets all Quality and Customer requirements, drives adherence to company Core Values, fosters a culture of Continuous Improvement, and manages production budgets effectively.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the production department.
- Prioritize and prepare production schedules; communicate production goals to appropriate departments.
- Analyze equipment efficiency, materials supply, and coordinate manpower requirements.
- Maintain quality control of product.
- Manage, train, and supervise department supervisors, shift leads, and production personnel.
- Collect, verify, and report daily/weekly/monthly production data.
- Schedule production and indirect personnel as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Track and report vacation/attendance with Operations Coordinator.
- Acquire and report daily/weekly/monthly environmental data (water/air quality).
- Create, maintain, and convey production and inventory reports to management and sales departments.
- Oversee corrective action policies, employee performance evaluations, and training schedules.
- Recruit and evaluate potential employees.
- Maintain plant-wide parts, equipment, and expendables inventory tracking.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels for efficient facility operation.
- Oversee implementation of quality control SOP policies and PFI Standards Program.
- Ensure safe facility operation and coordinate the Lignetics Safety Program, including all reporting requirements for Lignetics, OSHA, and state/federal regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Management or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of related supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- “Roll up your sleeves” approach with strong analytical and forward-thinking skills.
- Medium degree of technical and analytical skills; ability to perform simple to complex math calculations.
- Able to work in high-temperature and high-humidity areas.

Pay
$28.00/hour + $2.50 shift differential.
Schedule
7pm–7am (12-hour shift) on a 3-2-2-3 schedule, including every other Saturday.
