About the role
As a Production Supervisor at Johnson Matthey, you will play a crucial part in driving our company's goals by:
- Leading safe production operations and ensuring compliance with site, corporate, and regulatory safety standards.
- Cooking up staffing, schedules, and resources to hit production, quality, and on-time delivery targets.
- Driving operational efficiency through the application of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintaining accountability for in-process precious metal materials, including security and inventory control.
- Supporting employee development through training, performance guidance, and workforce planning.
- Collaborating with maintenance and leadership teams to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and operational performance.
Key skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, with an Engineering or Technical qualification being advantageous.
- Experience supervising teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate shift-based teams effectively.
- Flexibility to train across shifts and work a 2nd shift schedule (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM).
