Production Supervisor
Job Summary
Directs the activities of the Machine Support group. Responsible for maintaining production schedules and ensuring that quality standards are adhered to by the group.
Leadership And Management Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a production team at Jabil Inc., ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor production team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and production targets.
- Ensure all production activities comply with Jabil's quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Monitor and report on key production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and scrap rates.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., quality, engineering, logistics) to optimize production flow and resolve interdepartmental issues.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $77,500 - $139,500. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
