Production Supervisor

About the role

Dometic is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the manufacturing team in Sparta, TN. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will oversee multiple manufacturing departments, including Rotational Molding and Steering processes, ensuring timely production of quality products at the most economical cost.

Main Responsibilities

• Actively promote and ensure a safe and clean work environment
• Responsible for all aspects of production in areas assigned
• Achieve all manufacturing goals and objectives
• Identify and troubleshoot problems, implement solutions in a timely manner
• Establish training, counsel, motivate, and coach immediate subordinates
• Maintain up-to-date data for department databases
• Review, revise, or adjust manufacturing schedules as needed
• Monitor manufacturing supplies/tools and reorder as needed
• Monitor all equipment in departments and fill out any maintenance requests as needed
• Ensure products are manufactured within published quality specifications
• Responsible for plant security on respected shifts of operations
• Responsible for inventory control on materials and parts in manufacturing area
• Conduct in-depth accident investigations focusing on root cause analysis
• Administer disciplinary action for immediate subordinates based on company policy and procedures
• Enforce all company policies and procedures
• Report any HR issues to immediate supervisor as well as the HR department
• Create and maintain an atmosphere that focuses on safety, quality, and production effectiveness
• Track and communicate production and quality issues
• Ensure proper training of new or relocated employees to maintain acceptable product quality

Qualifications and Experiences

• A strong background in production/manufacturing with 5 to 7 years experience
• Preferred 4 year degree plus additional specialized training with a plastics/engineering background or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of machine mechanics and processes, process optimization, quality, inspection methods and standards
• The flow of work and duties performed require above average mental and visual attention
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
