Production Supervisor

Position Summary

Essential Job Functions

• Managing and coordinating the plant line production operations on the designated shift.
• Training and motivating staff to maintain operational excellence.
• Learning and understanding USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and GMP policies to ensure compliance.
• Upholding safety and health programs and conducting inspections to mitigate hazards.
• Monitoring operations to meet quality specifications and regulatory standards.
• Implementing cost-saving measures and promoting efficiency.
• Collaborating with functional leaders to meet regulatory guidelines.
• Maintaining positive employee relations and resolving conflicts.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Overseeing approximately up to 15-35 direct reports.
• Developing and applying new skills to enhance performance.
• Mentoring and coaching line employees in an environment of positive continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience considered.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to maintain a high and relatable level of professionalism.
• Able to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to maintain high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office 365, and/or related software.
• Dependable transportation to and from DG Foods facilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in varying environments, including cold and wet conditions.
• Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 30 pounds.
• Visual acuity required for close and peripheral tasks.
