Production Supervisor
About the role
We are seeking a hands-on, energetic, people-focused Weekend Shift Supervisor to lead a new production shift at our Watertown, South Dakota location. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build a team, establish a new shift, and make a visible impact on a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting production employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing employees while building a positive team culture
- Planning and assigning labor to meet production schedules and customer expectations
- Monitoring workflow, resolving production issues, and driving accountability on the floor
- Promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, process improvements, and operational efficiency
- Managing performance, attendance, and employee engagement
- Communicating effectively across departments and leadership teams
- Helping create an environment where employees feel supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Ability to adapt quickly and lead through change
- Experience with production scheduling, coaching employees, and driving operational performance is a plus
- Someone who leads by example and takes pride in developing people and building strong teams
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous manufacturing leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership presence, excellent communication skills, ability to motivate and hold teams accountable, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Pay
Tentative salary range: $X-$Y per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Tentative schedule: 6:00am-6:30pm, three 12-hour shifts per week. The exact schedule will be determined by the successful candidate.
