Schedule

Preferred Schedule: Monday through Friday

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers, serving as Production Paint Shop Group Leader over UAW team members.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
  • Review operations and confer with technical and administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems; analyze production, quality control, and maintenance data to detect issues
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records
  • Lead and manage a team of 14-18 members, including setting up containment processes and enforcing shop-floor discipline

Skills

  • Strong verbal communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques for maximizing manufacturing efficiency
  • Familiarity with machines/tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance
  • Comfortable analyzing production data and communicating findings/issues to stakeholders
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Word

Must-Have Skills

  1. Ability to analyze production data and speak to/address issues
  2. Comfortable using PowerPoint and Word
  3. Automotive manufacturing experience background

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required (Associate's degree in business or related field preferred)
  • 5-7 years of automotive manufacturing experience required
