Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safe work practices are being followed
- Oversee production lines
- Manage manpower and personnel issues
- Ensure production schedules are followed
- Implement continuous improvement ideas
- Work with maintenance when equipment issues arise
Education / Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment in lieu of degree is acceptable
- Previous supervisory experience
- Demonstrated trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to mentor production personnel
- Ability to effectively present information to management and employees of the organization
- Basic math skills are required
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and the ability to deal with problems in standardized situations
