Production Supervisor

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and productivity goals are achieved. This role leads and develops production team members while promoting a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversees Lead team in the implementation of and compliance with environmental, safety, and health requirements.
• Enhance communications within the team and throughout the department as to promote idea generation and motivation.
• Development of people and team by coaching, teaching, creation of development plans and opportunities, reviews, discipline, and documentation of employee performance.
• Accountable for maintaining high standards of operational excellence within team responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
• Promote and lead implementation of management, organization, and technical changes in the manufacturing area.
• Act as a troubleshooting resource.

The Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required
• 3 years previous experience working in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation as needed to meet business obligations
• Strong commitment to safety
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Mechanical aptitude is preferable
• Computer proficiency
