Known for our iconic double-bubble bottle, we grow, harvest, package, and market fresh pomegranates, pomegranate arils, and a selection of delicious pomegranate-blended juices and teas. With over 9,000 acres in California’s Central Valley, POM Wonderful is committed to unleashing the antioxidant power of our handpicked pomegranates.

The Production Supervisor will be trained and assigned on a rotational schedule to support and lead key operational areas: Juice processing, Arils processing and Sanitation. Working across these functions, the supervisor will collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to validate Standard Work Sequences (SWS), drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), prevent over-production, and uphold high standards of product integrity, safety and cleanliness. During peak season, this role will serve as a pivotal leader, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of production workers, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback, including engaging in corrective action conversations, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Strategically plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet set targets and deadlines, including strict adherence to established production centerlines.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Enforce and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Arils manufacturing processes, ensuring uniformity and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and uphold the functionality of equipment, proactively initiating maintenance or repairs as necessary.
  • Effectively manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies to guarantee uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, cultivating a safety-aware culture within the production team, and collaborate with the Quality control team to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Observe and enforce safety, GMPs, and Food safety programs and attend appropriate training sessions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and increased efficiency in the production process.
  • Maintain precise production records and reports for upper management review regarding comprehensive performance tracking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage the Arils facility FMDS (floor management development systems) board and conduct daily meetings.
  • Collaborate with the sanitation lead to identify key cleaning areas and implement enhancements to sanitation procedures.
  • Assess required workforce and develop a labor model aligned with production requirements.

Education & Experience

  • At least 2–4 years of progressively responsible production experience in a supervisory capacity, with a specific emphasis in manufacturing preferably within a production/manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Pay

$75,000 – $80,000 with up to 5% bonus potential. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
