About the role

This position is based at our facility in Jacksonville, TX, and operates on a 3rd shift schedule: Monday - Thursday (6:30pm - 5:00am).

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to all shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment by planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and work conditions.
  • Manage all aspects of production, including personnel, machines, and materials to execute production plans, control scrap, direct and indirect labor, and expenses.
  • Oversee departmental performance, measure progress, and provide regular reports.
  • Balance quality, productivity, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Investigate accidents and provide corrective actions.
  • Provide employee training and development.
  • Evaluate employees’ performance.
  • Monitor WIP levels and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Sheet Metal Manufacturing processes, Welding (Spot, MIG, and TIG), Manual and CNC machines, Hand and Power tool use, Powder Coat Paint processes, and reading custom work orders/Blueprints/drawings.
  • Able to communicate in a positive and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with timekeeping programs.
  • Experience using ERP programs such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
