Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift
We're Growing! QProducts and Services, part of the Lanco Group of Companies, is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor on 2nd Shift. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supervising employees, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Train, supervise, and support production employees, with responsibility for approximately 10–20 direct reports.
- Monitor production schedules and assign workload based on priorities established by the Production Manager.
- Ensure production tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
- Establish department goals and objectives that support overall company goals.
- Coach, counsel, and provide feedback to employees in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct employee performance appraisals and support employee development.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team members to identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Initiate engineering change requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and correct nonconformities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous waste management requirements, including applicable state and EPA regulations.
- Lead by example and promote a positive, respectful, and accountable team environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–7 years of related production/manufacturing experience.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage competing demands, and maintain a sense of urgency without sacrificing safety or quality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential defects or issues before they become problems.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to recognize colors across the normal spectrum.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- 7+ years of CNC experience preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a production classification in a factory or warehouse environment. Employees may work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and may be exposed to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment, machinery, and varying temperatures and weather conditions. The role requires frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the ability to safely perform hands-on work. The position requires accurate hand/eye coordination, finger dexterity, and hand strength, including the ability to grasp, lift, push, and pull. The work may involve considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting, and kneeling for extended periods. Employees may lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds and must be able to safely ascend and descend ladders and/or scaffolding. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $66,000-$75,000. The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
