Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all night shift production activities to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of production associates while promoting accountability and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, USDA, and company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor production performance, labor utilization, yields, downtime, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings to communicate production goals, safety expectations, and operational priorities.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Operations teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient production flow.
  • Investigate and address production, quality, safety, and employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate production records, staffing reports, and performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and support employee training and development efforts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or meat processing environment.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and USDA requirements.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems under pressure.
  • Proficiency with production reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness and ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred

  • Experience in meat, poultry, or protein processing operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
