Production Specialist (Temp)

Topcon Positioning Group, headquartered in Livermore, California, designs, manufactures, and distributes productivity tools for construction, geopositioning, and agriculture industries. The role involves manufacturing Topcon products to the highest standard in a modern production facility, using advanced technology and traditional craft techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan work by reading product fulfillment orders and blueprints with attention to detail, following precise configuration instructions.
• Take inventory of parts and replenish stock to ensure needed materials are available.
• Craft products using a variety of production equipment, including microscopes, soldering tools, automatic washers, magnet cranes, thermal testing chambers, sand blasters, etc.
• Join or secure parts using crimps, screws, solders, and hand tools.
• Validate products meet tight tolerances and high Quality Control standards by evaluating materials and workmanship at every production stage.
• Work as a team to solve problems and deliver greater value than could be achieved individually.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment is preferred but not required.
• Prior soldering experience is preferred; training will be provided.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
• Capability to apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Perform pushing, pulling, squatting, reaching, bending, carrying, walking, and picking/pulling material from workstations above shoulder level.
• Wear steel‑toe shoes/boots meeting OSHA standard ASTM F2413‑18.

Schedule

• No evenings or weekend shifts.
• Overtime may be required.
