Production Specialist-Part-Time

We serve as an installation provider for Lowe’s Home Improvement, with workrooms across the Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest.

About the Role

The Production Specialist reports to the Production Manager & Review/Refigure Supervisor and is responsible for reviewing and refiguring flooring estimation measurements for accuracy. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that allows for remote work from home.

Responsibilities

• Review and refigure flooring estimation measurements for accuracy
• Utilize software to perform calculations and manage data
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Maintain reliable internet connectivity for uninterrupted work
• Work a rotating schedule, including weekends

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in flooring, estimation, or construction
• High school diploma or GED, with one to two years of related experience and/or training
• Experience in customer service management
• Strong mathematical skills for basic algebraic and geometric calculations
• Proficiency with computer workstations, database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software
• Familiarity with Floor Wizard, RFMS, PDF Editing Software, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to read, comprehend, and prepare documents, as well as proofread work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work a regular schedule that includes weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Ability to view documents, multiple screens, and read handwritten materials
• Working knowledge of building codes, materials, industry standards, and products
• Ability to negotiate prices and contractual agreements
• General construction knowledge preferred

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs (e.g., laptop or monitor)
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Primarily indoor, heated, and cooled office space
• May work remotely from home
• Noise level is usually quiet
