About the role
The Production Specialist is responsible for the production and/or packaging of a variety of manufactured products.
Responsibilities
- Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and sorting.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to leaders.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations as set by management.
- Complete repetitive work tasks and remain focused on counting and recording numbers.
- Perform related duties as assigned by leaders.
- Break down cardboard for recycling as needed.
- Wear required company‑supplied PPE as directed.
- Maintain production time expectations as set by management.
Requirements
- Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
Physical Demands
- Required to stand for long periods of time, with repetitive movements.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of boxes.
- Exposure to raw food constantly.
Pay
Hourly wage: $14‑14 (i.e., $14 per hour).
