About the Role

We are looking for a Production Specialist to monitor the technical operations department, ensuring quality and productivity objectives are met safely and efficiently. This role involves developing operating procedures, problem-solving, operator training, and resolving day-to-day production issues.

Responsibilities

• Improve and maintain software development, test, and live infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate with Development, Technical Operations, QA, and Product Management teams to ensure uptime and performance of platforms.
• Identify and drive improvements in infrastructure reliability, performance, monitoring, and stability.
• Conduct capacity planning and demand forecasting to meet system demand, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Build tools and automation to eliminate repetitive tasks and prevent incidents.
• Participate in 24x7 operational support and on-call rotation shifts.
• Lead a ‘Safety First’ culture, communicating safety protocols and HBC principles.
• Maintain productivity and foster continuous improvement through goal communication, operator training, and process optimization.
• Support GAF Business Management Systems and associated programs.
• Ensure a safe workplace by adhering to company safety policies, conducting inspections, and addressing deficiencies.
• Create or modify safety procedures as needed.
• Train production crews to meet production, quality, and safety requirements.
• Provide leadership and direction to Lead Operators and crews, ensuring proper training for all positions.
• Support the implementation and sustainability of GAF initiatives (FORCE, 5S, Brain Cube, Poka, etc.).
• Maintain excellent product quality at the lowest cost, monitoring key operating parameters.
• Act as a liaison between production crews and the quality department to reduce controllable quality issues.
• Manage projects and cover production shifts for supervisors as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Associate’s Degree (AA) or Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) (preferred).
• 5+ years of work experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a continuous web-based process industry.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $68,000–$93,500. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on geographic location, experience, skills, education, and qualifications.
