Position Summary Fabricates and prepares metal composite panels and assists in the assembly of panels. Duties And Responsibilities Prepares sheet metal construction materials according to project design, layouts, blueprints, or drawings. (Soldering, shearing, packing, wrapping, loading)Solders, rivets, and seams a variety of metal productsOperates power-cutting tools, including metal forming machines, folders, shears, cutters, and crimpersOperate computer-driven brakeTravels to KRSM job sites to deliver and install sheet metal products on roofs (working on roofs, cutting, welding, soldering)Perform inventory controls for job materialsKeep the work area clean and assist in making a safe working environmentOperate a forkliftOperate KRSM vehiclesLift heavy objectsCommunicate and cooperate with foremen, project managers, supervisors, and coworkers Qualifications Ability to lift and carry heavy objects of 50 poundsAble to lift, bend, and cut sheet metalStoop, crouch, bend, and step over obstaclesWorking on roofs of tall buildings, sloped roofs, stadiums, and general construction sitesCarrying and climbing laddersSetting up and working on scaffoldingValid driver’s licenseGood, safe driving recordExperience in operating a forkliftHigh school degree or equivalentAble to work well with others in a team environment Working Conditions Work indoors and outdoors in various types of temperature and weather conditions.Work in an environment with dust, loud noise, and/or vibrationsWorking on substantially high construction sitesPerforming work where carelessness could result in serious injury Physical Requirements Carry and/or lift 50 pounds or morePerform duties at elevated sitesStand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time Accessibility: If you need an accommodation as part of the employment process please contact Human Resources at Phone: 304-232-8540 Email: humanresources@krsm.net Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
