About the role

The Production Scheduling Assistant supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting with production scheduling, inventory management, and production reporting. This role works closely with production, sales, and transportation teams to help ensure efficient workflow, accurate inventory tracking, and timely completion of customer orders.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in building and maintaining daily production schedules for multiple departments
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and transportation teams regarding scheduling priorities and inventory needs
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and production data within company systems
  • Support production planning activities to help meet customer deadlines and operational goals
  • Communicate schedule updates, changes, and production concerns to appropriate departments
  • Track operational variances and assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Learn manufacturing processes and product flow to improve scheduling efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist with maintaining organized production and scheduling documentation
  • Complete required trainings and certifications as assigned
  • Provide general administrative support related to production scheduling and operations

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous scheduling, manufacturing, production, or inventory experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data entry
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and company systems
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
  • Professionalism and reliability in a team-oriented environment
