Production Scheduler / Procurement Manager

The Production Scheduler / Procurement Manager role is critical in bridging operations and supply chain functions, driving efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, capacity, and material availability
- Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, logistic, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and efficient workflow
- Optimize machine and labor utilization while minimizing changeovers and downtime
- Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks
- Adjust schedules in response to demand changes, supply constraints, or operational issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, procurement, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in printing, packaging, or industrial manufacturing preferred
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of production planning, MRP/ERP systems (IQMS, Oracle, etc.)
- Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Skills & Competencies
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting processes
