Production Scheduler

About the role
Evaluate and verify the possibilities of production implementation. Build the optimal, accurate production plan by balancing demands and production capacities. Requires strong knowledge or abilities to understand the ERP/SAP system with PP modules to optimize production. Contributes to optimizing procurement processes, supplier sourcing, and supplier relationship management to achieve Kennametal objectives in terms of delivery, quality, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Build and control daily, weekly, monthly production schedules to ensure output results meet customer demands.
- Create the Bill of Material and Product Routing, verify technical drawings of all products to ensure products are made with best quality standards.
- Coordinate with Production Team to set up and balance production schedule with machining capacities at each production station.
- Extract production data from SAP system to update and control production status, overview, and foresee risks of production stop due to materials shortage, quality standard, machining program, or technical issues.
- Carry out good receiving and arrange materials into correct defined bin locations in the Warehouse to ensure the fastest and most effective materials movement.
- Analyze warehouse data such as inventory levels, safety stock, reorder point, FIFO process to build the best service levels of warehouse equivalent to customer demands.
- Support cooperation with other teams (CSR/Sales/Production) to implement common projects or related job flows to expedite the whole implementation process.
- Utilize, configure, and maintain process procurement data.
- Other tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant years of work experience.
- Good communication skills, active, and ability to quickly adapt to new environments and multiple tasks.
- Good English (writing and reading); good communication is a merit.
- SAP or other ERP experience.
- Experience in Warehouse management, Machinery, or Cutting tools is a merit.
- Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
