Production Quality Intern (Fall 2026)
About the role
Astranis is building advanced satellites to expand global internet access. This intern will work on developing quality assurance processes and improving production quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support inspection and verification procedures
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and drive continuous improvement
- Support process and system development to enhance production quality
- Create dashboards, metrics, and visualizations to monitor factory health
- Debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
Requirements
- A passion for hardware development and manufacturing systems
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Onsite 5 days a week
- Previous internship or coursework experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of quality management systems or hardware manufacturing
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Direct electrical or mechanical design experience
- Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
Benefits
We offer a competitive base hourly pay of $29.00, with U.S. citizenship, lawfully permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required due to U.S. government space technology export regulations.
Pay
The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 5 days a week.
