Lead the planning, scheduling, and materials organization to meet inventory and delivery goals while driving zero customer disappointments and optimizing business inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Assure inventory and delivery goals are met and drive for zero customer disappointments while maintaining business inventory levels
- Enhance current processes through Lean methodologies
- Develop and grow assigned personnel through strong leadership
- Control inventory levels, cycle time, work center loads, and other aspects to meet production schedules
- Set strategic direction for planning and scheduling activities within the organization
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations on production forecasts (S&OP) and manage factory lead times
- Establish PCBA schedules
- Oversee Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, and Warehouse functions
- Manage a team of production planners, receiving, stock handlers, shipping, inventory management, warehouse, and international shipping logistics
- Lead yearly Physical Inventory activity and reduce ERP variances
- Contribute to S&OP materials planning based on projected demand
- Monitor inventory levels weekly to ensure alignment with targets
- Provide feedback to Purchasing Materials Manager regarding material needs and planned consumption
- Report KPI metrics monthly on inventory levels, delivery performance, and disposition of excess/obsolete material, including auction of excess parts
- Escalate key component shortages within GE Grid Automation
- Mine data from ERP system regularly and readjust production schedules based on component shortages
- Maximize production efficiency with scheduling aligned to constraints
- Utilize pull methodologies to drive product flow
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related field or relevant work experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Materials Planning role
- Extensive experience using an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP
- Experience leading production planning teams

Pay
For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
