About the role

The Production Planning Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for elevating the production planning function at nVent's Blaine site. This leader will strengthen cross-functional partnerships, drive operational excellence, and establish the team as a trusted strategic partner across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a growing team of production planning analysts, building capability, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish and strengthen cross-functional relationships with operations, supply chain, engineering, lean, SIOP, and product and program management teams to position planning as a valued strategic partner.
  • Drive the strategic direction and execution of the production planning function to meet customer objectives and business goals.
  • Responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of production schedule in collaboration with cross-functional partners and leaders.
  • Partner with operations teams to improve value stream performance, dependability, and overall site effectiveness.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance planning methods, implement Lean principles (Kanbans, level schedules, production flow), and optimize ERP system utilization.
  • Strengthen reporting and analytics capabilities to improve product flow, proactively identify bottlenecks, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Lead improvement projects and initiatives across the broader planning organization, driving organizational change and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 7+ years of supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in production planning, scheduling, or master scheduling.
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams is highly preferred.
  • Experience driving organizational change and process transformation initiatives.
  • CPIM Certification preferred.

Pay

Pay Transparency: nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range $105,000.00 - $195,000.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
