Position Summary
The Production Planner works directly with the shop management team reporting to the Production Planning Manager. This position ensures continuity of workflow and schedule between multiple production areas/Supervisors to maximize the efficiency of the collective Team. The role is critical for flow creation, monitoring, and communication.

Position Responsibilities
- Monitor production schedules to ensure orders are filled on time and in full
- Troubleshoot production/scheduling issues and adjust as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate order supplies as needed
- Track and report production metrics and performance
- Work with Production Planner to review job orders and establish priorities and schedules
- Assist in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule
- Cook up with Production Planner in resolving production planning and completion issues
- Maintain schedule for material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations
- Develop dynamic planning of activities across multi-functional teams and workstations to ensure optimal sequence of work
- Review production plans to identify and report potential risks to Manager
- Work with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer specifications
- Establish schedules for maintenance and day-to-day operations
- Communicate production updates to Managers and shop leadership
- Aid Operations Leaders in controlling production costs while maintaining quality standards
- Show strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ensure quality assurance in personal area of responsibility
- Help maintain consumables and other orders or needs within responsible areas of production
- Implement safety plan
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a scheduler in a manufacturing or operations department
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
