About the role

Develop weekly production requirements for manufacturing operations with daily detail as the need arises by production scheduling process.
Conducts weekly scheduling meetings to review previous production performance and align the plant around future production requirements.
Communicates schedule changes, maintenance requirements, shut downs, and training needs that affect future production plans to corporate planning and logistics.
Develops and communicates daily production plans to all departments and keeps staff informed of any changes or updates as needed.
Develops daily and weekly actual versus scheduled communication and performance reporting.
Coordinates initial production requirements for new products with QA and corporate R&D.
Analyzes and reviews the manufacturing schedule and communicates opportunities to improve the balance of cost and service among raw materials, conversion, and finished good costs.
Develops concepts for the optimization of tools, operating resources, and production processes.
Develops daily production plans that optimally lead labor and enable plant efficiency targets to be achieved.

  • Develops and communicates daily production plans to all departments and keeps staff informed of any changes or updates as needed.
  • Develops daily and weekly actual versus scheduled communication and performance reporting.
  • Captures and analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in production schedules.
  • Coordinates initial production requirements for new products with QA and corporate R&D.
  • Analyzes and reviews the manufacturing schedule and communicates opportunities to improve the balance of cost and service among raw materials, conversion, and finished good costs.
  • Develops concepts for the optimization of tools, operating resources, and production processes.
  • Develops daily production plans that optimally lead labor and enable plant efficiency targets to be achieved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, planning, and/or scheduling experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MRP, Epicor, and/or SyteLine are a plus.
  • Statistical and spreadsheet analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Access.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, and customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong service-minded attitude with a hunger, drive, and tenacity to own and improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems such as MRP, Epicor, or SyteLine.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to optimize production schedules.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
