About the role

The Production Planner will coordinate flow of work within or between departments and suppliers of the manufacturing facility to meet customer schedules and internal goals.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates Production Closing Issues/Inventory/Shortages
  • Updates movements on the Schedule of closed units and production orders daily and other Excel Spreadsheets
  • Ensures system integrity through maintenance of system records, work orders and purchase orders
  • Reports on time delivery information and other reports as required
  • Responsible for Month End Inventory Yard Count
  • Verifies and manages SBU unit count/S1 Report/Completed not Closed/Zero Report for Month End Accounting Reports
  • Responsible for Closing Production Orders with completed units and making the necessary adjustments to the schedule
  • Sets up Planer Codes for New Items within LN system
  • Analyzes reports and investigates system shortages/BOM/inventory issues
  • Assists in the resolution of MRP and Planning discrepancies
  • Determines progress of work and provides information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments
  • Improves production through application of innovative ideas and projects
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience using LN
  • Problem solving skills
  • Computer (Excel and Word) Skills

Qualifications

One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Intermediate level experience with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
