As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day production for multiple product lines, ensuring operations align with company policies and all regulatory and corporate compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Act as a leader in supporting the Safety Journey and the Company’s goal of achieving an injury-free workplace.
- Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety by addressing root causes of incidents or near misses, conducting effective safety meetings, and promptly addressing employee safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Management of Change (MOC), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Quality Control (Q.C.) standards for your department/shift.
- Conduct weekly safety and quality meetings.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in your department/shift.
- Manage engineering projects within your department/shift.
- Troubleshoot machine issues with hourly operators and utilize root cause analysis to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
- Own the maintenance budget for your department/shift, including manpower utilization and maintenance spending.
- Oversee maintenance activities, including creating work orders, validating completed work, escalating issues to management, and closing work orders.
- Track machine downtime related to mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure machines are properly utilized to meet and exceed production goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of supervisor experience in manufacturing and/or food-related industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- 5 years of supervisor experience.
- 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Lean Certification.
- SAP Experience.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Normal working schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Weekend and overtime may be required.
- Works in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time.
- Performs sustained manual activities at moderate to heavy levels of exertion, including lifting and moving loads of at least fifty (50) pounds, climbing ladders/stairs, and working on elevated platforms.
- Works and travels throughout a plant environment with varied temperatures and humidity.
- Wears personal protective equipment as required and uses full range of motion.
- Works in both general office and manufacturing plant environments.
