About the Group

The Aerospace Engineering Group (AERO) develops and delivers Metrea’s aviation engineering and integration capabilities, focusing on aircraft modification, system integration, and technical project management. AERO transforms mission requirements into operational assets by designing, engineering, and integrating new systems while managing aviation project lifecycles from concept to testing. The group ensures aircraft modifications meet performance, safety, and airworthiness standards.

About the Role

The Production Planner will develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules and work packages for aircraft modification programs under FAA Part 145 and Part 21 regulations. This role ensures alignment between engineering content, material availability, labor resources, and regulatory compliance to support on-time, high-quality aircraft integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed production schedules using Microsoft Project PWA.
• Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials and labor.
• Translate engineering drawings and work instructions into executable work packages.
• Monitor progress against schedule and adjust plans to mitigate delays or resource constraints.
• Interface with FAA maintenance tracking systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, changes, and approvals.
• Participate in planning meetings and provide status updates to program leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in production planning within an FAA Part 145 environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project PWA and other scheduling tools.
• Familiarity with FAA maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Veryon, CAMP, TRAX).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and modification processes is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Schedule

This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Overtime may be required with manager approval.

Work Environment

This role operates in an office setting with no travel requirement.
