About the role

The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing activities using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. This role involves creating production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and the Operations Department's capacities. The Production Planner will analyze inventory and coordinate with Procurement, Material Control, and Production to produce effective schedules, provide Production Orders, and generate reports/data as needed. This position also tracks the production process, reports data to partner departments, and handles administrative processes, including Material Review Board support.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze MRP and create Production Orders to support the Sales and Operations Plan
  • Track Production Process and report to the organization
  • Analyze Inventory Levels to support the Production Plan
  • Maintain Production Orders to support schedule changes and communicate with Production Supervisors
  • Provide administrative support, including Material Review Board activities and Forklift Model Plate programming, printing, and dispersing to Production teams

Schedule

  • Fully onsite position
  • Standard working hours, Monday – Friday (with exceptions to support the business)

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in production planning support
  • MS Office skills
  • Material Requirements Planning in an ERP system
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-department functions

What would be nice to have:

  • Advanced MS Office Skills, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Previous experience in industrial or automotive manufacturing

Pay

The salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $82,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon education, training, and experience.
