Production Planner

What you will do

• Accurately create and maintain bills of material, routings, and work orders
• Accurately maintains MRP data to ensure proper stocking levels are kept and purchased parts and materials are delivered on time
• Plans and prepares daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
• Coplanates with other planners to establish sequence and lead time of each operation, to meet ship dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders
• Plans sequence of fabrication and assembly for manufacturing
• Confers with management team to determine status of assigned projects

What we require

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent with additional college credits
• Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, scheduling, or production management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experienced in forecasting inventory purchasing requirements
• Ability to utilize MRP and ERP systems

What we prefer

• A College degree in business or supply chain management
• Direct experience balancing demand, capacity, labor, and materials
• Experience planning in a multi-SKU, configurable, or engineered-to-order environment
• Inventory and supply chain experience
• Knowledge of demand-based planning
