Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedule for the manufacturing of tunable optical filter chips
- Monitor production progress and adjust production schedules to address priority changes, delays, and equipment downtime
- Manage wafer and chip inventory, conduct physical counts, and maintain accurate records of products
- Coordinate material requirements and procurements to ensure adequate production resources
- Inspect and prepare products for shipping to customers
Requirements
- BS in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in production planning or similar role
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle and SAP
- Proficiency in MS Excel or other data analysis tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage production in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to coordinate with team members and ensure production efficiency and optimal resource utilization
Working Conditions
- This position is on-site
- May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
- May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate production needs
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues
Safety & Quality Responsibilities
- Follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards
- Depending on location, responsible for the execution and maintenance of ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System
