About the role

The Upgrade Assembly Trainer is a Production Operator who specializes in training new Production Operators to assemble a variety of plumbing parts and components to ensure they are ready to be shipped. This role also operates and services a variety of production machines within an Assemble-to-Order work environment.

Helps maintain a safe environment by reporting any issues or concerns and giving associates feedback on safety adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary trainer for the line, including providing hands-on training, document reviews, and signoffs.
  • Introduces new associates to co-workers, Team Lead, and Manager.
  • Communicates with team members, including Team Leads and Production Managers, to develop teamwork in the trainees.
  • Trains from detailed instructions such as Operational Method Sheets (OMS) and Customer Orders.
  • Mentors trainees on work practices, rules, and norms required to successfully integrate into the Moen team.
  • Responds patiently to questions from trainees.
  • Assists trainees in contacting resources for assistance during onboarding.
  • Evaluates and provides accurate input to Production Managers concerning the ability of trainees to perform successfully.
  • Provides required reports on a timely basis.
  • Reports any concerns with the line, such as lack of materials, equipment issues, maintenance needs, product concerns, or personnel issues, to the Team Lead or Supervisor for the area.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months (exceptions may apply for shift changes, demotions, or business needs; associates seeking a higher labor grade may apply without waiting 6 months).
  • Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from the same role in the preceding 6 months.
  • Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
  • Associate cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
  • Associate must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
  • Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
  • Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, including processes and computer requirements.
  • A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
  • Associate submits an application through Workday prior to the posting deadline.

Interested TEMP associates can bid and will have the opportunity to become permanent based on their performance. Material Stocker bids are not cell-specific; Production Managers will assign based on production requirements. TEMP associates will only be considered if the roles are not filled by current Moen Associates.
