About the role
To help operate lining and molding equipment assigned by supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Verifies raw materials comply with work requirements;
- Helps perform color changes; notifies supervisor of color change status;
- Informs supervisor/lead of substandard production quality;
- Checks material status and calls for more materials if necessary;
- Informs supervisor/lead of machine problems;
- Cleans machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc., clean filers, scheduled sanitation duties;
- Fills and empties color and virgin hoppers;
- Segregates scrap material;
- Covers for absences/vacations on other shifts;
- Follows all GMP guidelines;
- Audit and sorts product that has been put on Quality Hold;
- Adheres to all safety rules and procedures;
- Completes all necessary documentation for all assigned machines.
- Follow manufacturing Work Order (BOM); Builds totes.
- Hand stack cartons when necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervision/Management.
Other Responsibilities
- Attends Green Area Meetings;
- Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures;
- Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions;
- Sorts through and visually inspects rejected cartons;
- Backup: Mold Technician.
Requirements
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent;
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
