About the role
Tremco Construction Products Group brings together multiple divisions and brands under one umbrella, operating 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites across North America. The Production Operator role involves safely starting, troubleshooting, and operating manufacturing equipment. There are three levels (I, II, & III), determined by experience and ability to troubleshoot and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform work safely by following all written and verbal safety rules and procedures.
- Operate and maintain assigned machines following standard work procedures.
- Meet or exceed production output rates and ensure product meets quality tolerances.
- Perform routine inspections per quality standards and understand production instructions.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and production documentation.
- Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify defects before production.
- Read and follow work orders and formulas to meet production specifications.
- Examine, weigh, and measure materials, ingredients, and products per requirements.
- Mix raw materials according to specifications and transfer materials between work areas.
- Discharge blenders of powder when necessary and ensure blended products meet standards.
- Set up, clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment before, after, and between runs.
- Complete cleaning logs and notify quality control for hygiene testing.
- Record operational and production data on specified forms.
- Report malfunctions to supervisors and confirm proactive and routine maintenance.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of quality control and operational procedures.
Requirements
- No formal education required.
- No prior experience or training required.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to function effectively in a team setting and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, dependability, and ethical/professional behavior.
- Adheres to ISO authority and responsibility, completes required training, and reports safety violations.
