About the role
The Krusteaz Company is seeking a Second Shift Production Operator to join our Effingham team. This role supports all areas of production involving packaging dry food products according to customer and company specifications.
Responsibilities
- Data entry and recordkeeping
- Lifting up to 50 pounds several times per shift
- Using a forklift to transfer product
- Filling or emptying semi-trailers
- Conducting work in a safe and legal manner, adhering to GMP food safety standards
- Ensuring quality checks on ingredients
- Implementing data collection methods to ensure Process Quality results are accurate and meaningful
- Reporting necessary production information and data related to inventory, KPIs, SPC, Run Strategy, and other relevant information
- Managing all bag dump/processing functions to produce a finished product
- Participating in preventive maintenance and performing regular sanitation tasks
- Assisting with rail car/bulk unloading tasks
- Coordinating with previous shifts to ensure continuity
- Operating packaging equipment and process control systems
- Performing other necessary tasks as directed by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous food processing experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS systems
- Flexible to work any shift when required, and willing to work overtime when necessary
- Able to lift up to and including 50 lbs
- Ability to pass basic reading/arithmetic test, physical agility test, background check, chemical screening, and reference check

Pay and Hours
The wage for this role is $21.28 per hour, with a $1.25 shift differential. There is also the potential for a 7% quarterly bonus incentive pay based on business performance. Positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime.
