PRODUCTION OPERATOR III - Solder Assembler 3rd shift

Assemble, Solder, and Test a wide variety of Relays and Contactors. Union Site!

Responsibilities

• Operational testing of product including but not limited to operating times, operating voltage, dielectric, and insulation resistance.
• Test and adjust units to meet all in-shop final test FTP specifications and established procedures.
• Perform soldering per JSTD-001 Military Spec. Soldering Procedures.
• Read and understand overall drawing, test specifications, FTP and ATP reports required.
• Read, interpret and follow written test instructions and procedures to accurately test products.
• Utilize a wide variety of measurement instruments, hand tools, and gauges to check parts to verify compliance to quality specifications.
• Conduct tests and diagnostic procedures using tools such as analyzers, multimeters and power supplies.
• Repair faults, reassemble products and complete additional tests.
• Operate mass spectrometers when required.
• Operate ESS equipment when required.
• Support, implement and help shape test approach by identifying solutions to recurring issues.
• Check color, shape, texture and grade of products and materials against established templates, charts and samples.
• Operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving, and team acceptance of responsibility.
• Train other employees as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics accurately.
• Proficient in the safe and correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering iron and power tools.
• Soldering Certification Completed.
• ESD training per OP 1707, Solder certification per OP 1701, Testing certification per OP 1704, J-STD-001 and IPC-620.

Pay

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $51,521 (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
